• Bologna is the most convenient airport. There is an airport bus which takes you to Bologna central station in 20 minutes. https://aerobus.bo.it/en. From there continue to Parma by direct train (see info below) which takes 1 hour or get a rental car.

• Milan Malpensa is further away but has most connections by far. There is a direct train connection between Milan Malpensa airport and central station which is very convenient. It takes one hour. https://www.trainline.eu/train-times/milan-airport-to-milano-centrale Then you continue to Parma by direct train, which takes roughly 1.5h, depending on the type of train you choose (see info below). There is also a bus service that connects the airport to Milan central station. The bus takes 45 minutes. • Milan Linate is a bit closer than Malpensa. A bus service connects the airport to Milan central station. The bus takes 45 minutes. Then you continue to Parma by direct train, which takes roughly 1.5h, depending on the type of train you choose (see info below) or get a rental car. • Milan Bergamo is also a good option, especially for low cost airlines. You can either get a rental car or take the shuttle bus to Milan central station which takes 50 minutes. http://www.orioshuttle.com/_eng/Orio-al-Serio_Milano-Centrale.cfm. From there you get a direct train to Parma (see info below).    

There are convenient and frequent direct trains to Parma from both Milan central station and Bologna. The train station in Parma is located in the city centre, so if you get an accommodation in Parma, you can most probably walk there.
